Welcome once again for this week’s second edition of serendipitous life coaching.

As promised, I will take some questions you had as a basis to write this entry.

You can expect some of the questions you asked to be answered today but since I don’t want the article to just jump from one subject to the other, I will perhaps focus in on some of the more challenging ones. Of course this should always leave you with the conviction that you can do it. If that’s the case, please tell all the people you know to join in the CLUB and benefit from the information shared. Have a big bottle of water ready for this again and take a few sips now before you read on. Take a few deep breaths as you check your seating position and be sure you breathe into your belly. Once again … inhale … exhale … and you’re good to read on.

The most challenging part is when you get to a moment in which you feel you have done everything, and when it gets frustrating because you simply don’t see any other way of how to do things and then advance. Ever been there?

That’s when you have asked all the questions you thought were important. You have been to everyone and their mothers to find some evidence of your realism and how well the project would work; you’ve done all the learning on the field of activity; you have the research and have established every step possible that you also took action on so that you would not delay, and you’re in such a hurry to go on…. and still, you feel like you’ve pushed yourself against a wall, knowing well enough that you need results or you can wrap-up and make your dream a quantum-field-return-to-sender kind of operation.

That’s the point when everyone starts to look at you with the expression on their face that says “you’re crazy,” and they just give their opinion on what you say in a vague nodding, which you’re not sure whether to take as a “yes, I agree” or as a “sure, do whatever you want.” This no-comment attitude leaves you in a free-fall into the “I have to show some results NOW and quickly” stage.

Every odd, silent moment for which I didn’t schedule an appointment you think about your venture and the huge investment of time, money and energy you made. You are not fully aware that you might have reached a plateau and that you’re facing this situation because you have to change one little thing which you would, perhaps, generally perceive as something of little importance — but it might just make ALL the difference.

In such moments, a lot of people stop everything and let it be a “great idea” or an “unfinished thread” and they tell themselves “I’ll pick it up later” and/or “perhaps it wasn’t meant to be.”

You are tempted to give in and move back to mom. Now the ultimate question would be:

What is needed for my personal breakthrough?

Well, there are there three kinds of people in this world:

The Makers, these are people who make things happen, make mistakes, make up for them, and learn the lessons to make the best of all they have. But they keep doing what they love and won’t ever give up.

Then there are the Takers. These are people who feel they need to take all they can get their hands on and because the world owes them, they take more once they have received something small. They take it from the living, from the dead, and from whomever — whether willing or not.

To give is surely the greater pleasure than to always receive.

Then there are the Fakers. Such people are running from one entertainment to the other, filling their schedule with empty appointments; they keep busy without ever making anything of their potential, and think they can live life on a lie. Faking life is a crime against yourself and humanity.

Honestly now … how would it feel if you were on that plateau and could make an amazing step ahead because you found that tiny little missing element that you had not taken into consideration yet? How would that fresh breeze feel that would blow you right over that last limiting aspect of your own personal breakthrough? When you breathe in and exhale now can you think of a moment at when you were at such a low that you felt ALL of your capacity was used and that you couldn’t go on? I invite you now to think back and check if you can find at least 3 of these moments. Take the time now to live these moments again (and to the fullest) so that you can actually generate that same feeling you had back then.

Now, one of the big qualities of a successful life coach is that he/she has the ability to be totally honest with you. Now is that moment of honesty: STOP SULKING!

No, I don’t tell you what or how to do things and I would not even imagine thinking that I know more than you in regards to yourself. Much to the contrary is the case: I’d be asking YOU 1000 questions and draw on serendipities you have encountered as your way to getting to that plateau. I know you HAVE the answers.

Read on for the eye-opener. (more…)
